Two days of really intense learning conversations, challenges and decisions at Te Aratika Academy have firmly established the values, kaupapa and direction of this school and how these will drive the learning, not the standards. We had a great session with Tawehi Munro from Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Education to develop our strategy. We now have a clear curriculum map now of how, what and why the students will be learning. Growing from Te Ao Māori - connections, history and culture, guided by the school's strengths-based 'Developing Men of Valour' Graduate Profile and finally demonstrated through appropriate assessment tasks. Awesome work. Congratulations to everyone involved. |
